University Tutors Applications

Currently the School does not require any further teaching assistance, as all allocations for the academic year 2007-2008 have been made.  Applications for the 2008-09 academic year will be sought in due course.

University Tutors are be involved in delivering undergraduate tutorials in a range of topics.

The minimum requirements for someone wishing to act as a University Tutor is a second-class undergraduate law degree (or its equivalent) or a postgraduate law degree. Previous experience of undergraduate law teaching and study towards a research degree in law are desirable qualifications.

If you wish to be considered for any opportunities to provide teaching assistance which may arise please complete and submit the Application Form, or if you need further information you can email the Law School at law.office@qub.ac.uk or phone  (028) 9097 3597  . Those who have previously acted as University Tutors in the School of Law must also complete and return this form if they wish to be considered for future opportunities. Those who are selected will be contacted by the School with the details of the modules on which we wish them to teach. Those who are not selected for this semester but who meet the essential criteria will have their forms retained should future opportunities arise in the current academic year. Those who do not meet the essential criteria will be informed that they cannot be considered for any opportunities. Those who are offered teaching opportunities will be expected to undertake a short training course if they have not already done so. Although applications will be considered at any time it would be helpful if applications were submitted by Friday 24 August in order to facilitate planning for the next academic year.
